G’day. I’m Trav, life & business coach, media manager, personal trainer, car nut, basketball freak, beach bum and keen (very average) surfer.
I have a passion for learning, overcoming life’s challenges and living a healthy lifestyle and I want to share what I know with you. Why? Because no-one was there to answer my questions when I was younger. I had to find out the hard way. In fact I’m still finding out the hard way, through financial blunders, personal setbacks, injuries, illnesses and experiences with my clients.
I’ve run a few businesses in the past. These days I work as a coach doing mostly life and business coaching, but it always includes fitness, nutrition and health, because if you don’t have your health, you can lose your wealth... IT HAPPENED TO ME.
I work closely with a select group of focused individuals who want the most out of their life and business, and are prepared to follow the proven processes I have set up.
I have played basketball since I was 7 and have tried a ton of different sports including various martial arts, football, soccer, hockey, acrobatics, dancing, surfing, kayaking, tennis, etc. and I plan on trying new sports until the world runs out of them.
I love calisthenics and bodyweight training and am constantly fighting a battle against my body after bad training techniques and overindulgence in sports caused postural injuries and cost me several years out of sports. Being a skinny guy I also face the challenge of gaining muscle which is one I succeed with as long as I can stay healthy. However, my body has had a hard run over the last 40+ years.
My hardest challenge has been Chronic Fatigue Syndrome mixed with Fibromyalgia, Candida, Parasites, Lyme Disease and all sorts of fun stuff, which has fought me since April 2010. It’s a long road back to peak health & fitness that requires a huge amount of work and has made me the most disciplined person I know.
I’ve been a personal trainer since 2003 and got deeply into personal development in 2001 when I realised I could change.
I can’t tell you that I have it all together because I don’t think that anyone really does. That’s part of being human. But I eat well, think well and move well and make the most of what nature has provided.
I also have a ton of great friends in the coaching industry and work tirelessly to grow my network, constantly attracting into my life the most amazing people around the world. This is a far step from being the shyest kid all through primary and high school, worried about everything and terrified of making a fool of myself. But I chose to do the hard things.
I put myself out there. I traveled to countries by myself, worked at a summer camp in the USA at 19, moved across the country to Sydney when I was 21, worked on a cruise ship in Alaska at 23, lived on the beach on the Gold Coast a few years back and constantly push myself to try new hobbies and activities on my own, as I found most friends not willing to push the boundaries.
I can tell you that there are things that work and things that don’t work. There are gimmicks. There are strategies that work in the short term and not in the long term. There are benefits to eating a certain way, and there are sacrifices that go with them as well.
You need to know about these things for you and your family. You pass on either good or bad genetics to your kids. You also pass on good or bad eating and exercise habits to them. You pass on good or back lifestyle habits. You either set a good example or a bad example.
Remember that you are on the planet for 70 odd years +/- so you really want to make your body last that long, not just burn it out in your 20’s, 30’s or 40’s.
Hopefully I can pass on some of my knowledge to you so you can live a better, more enjoyable life. That is my life’s mission. So I’ll keep studying in Australia and overseas and pass on the best information available to you.
