The Turkish Getup is a great move for strength, flexibility, mobility and requires very little equipment.
We choose to train people to do the movement first with only their bodyweight.
This is because many lack the strength or flexibility to get into the right positions without any extra weight to go with it.
Rather than explain it in words, I suggest following along with the video and learning the move for yourself.
Then work on practicing it for years and years as it is one that takes much time to master.
